Through Berlin on foot, by citytrain and bus, from west to east
An impressive guided tour beginning at "memeorial church" - a famous landmark of Berlin-west, in oposit of the "bikini-house" - new modern shoping mal in an history building at the edge of our central pak, "Tiergarten" and as a contrast "Europacenter" one of 1965.
After a short explanation to "Kurfürstendamm" - most famous walking and shoping distance in the west city - go on by bus along the "ambassy-quarter" via culture forum with the famous conzert hall "Philharmonie" to the new center of Berlin - "Potsdamer square" since 2000. Here is to learn about the divided city in the past, the wall between east and west.
We go on by S-Bahn (citytrain) to "Brandenburg gate" in the government-area and the "Holocaustmemorial"created 2005 in remembrance of the murdered 6 millions of jewish people.
We continue by bus via the boulevard "Unter den Linden" with its historical buildings and make a trip to"Friedrichstraße" - the walking- and shoping distance in the east - in the so called "golden 20th" a famous distance for amusements.-
Next is to visit "Checkpoint Charlie" - a famous checkpoint between the american and russian sector in the past.
We continue to "Gendarmenmarket" a beautiful historical place and buildings - in berlin-flyer they call it the nicest place in Berlin - back to "Unter den Linden" to the reconstructed "Palace of Berlin" the 500 years old palace of the prussian kings was distroyed by GDR-government in 1950.
From here you will have a free view to the "Berlin cathedrale" and "Museums Island" and you have the oportunity to visit an interesting permanent exhibition to learn something about this magnificently building, and / or to visit on the 5th level the little restaurant/cafe.
